WHO WHO loves baby owls? On a mini papier mache box bag? I do! Just in time for fall is this sweet little guy perched on a delicate branch. Unknown to many collectors is Enid's use of sausage string to make the bag three-dimensional with its small details, swoops, and swirls on her papier mache designs. All papier mache bags were made/in production between 1966-68. As these were only produced for two years, mostly in Puerto Rico, there are few advertisements of papier mache. I'm showing an original newspaper covering the 1968 Hemisfair in San Antonio showing a collection of Enid's papier mache.
